TRADES
Once a trade is agreed upon between two teams, one GM will post the agreement to the pending trades thread, and the other GM must comment that they accept. Following that, trade moderators will check it for fairness. There will be seven of them. Once three trade moderators accept or veto the trade, it will be finalize or rejected, based on the popular vote. If a trade moderator makes a trade, they can not vote on said trade. Due to limits of the simulation, trades can only include 5 assets per team.
CONTRACTS
Each player has a contract at the league's beginning. The money goes against the budget, which is unique to each team. Teams are able to go over their budget in trades, but it comes with consequences. For example, these teams will not have the ability to sign any players. Additionally, the GM runs a much greater risk of being fired. These contracts should stay at $200k at the lowest, with the highest being $14 million. They can't be longer than 8 years long. When offering a contract, you can include no trade or no movement clauses. Additionally, you will be asked to choose primary and secondary roles, which will be disclosed.
DRAFT
At the beginning, each team holds their draft picks from the 2001 draft to the 2003 draft in rounds one through nine. The draft will be manual for the first two rounds, then be automatically simulated. If you aren't present to make your pick, the highest ranked remaining player by scouted potential will be selected. All draftees will be authentic up to the 2015 draft.
GM FIRING
Each GM will have stats tracked for them, and earn a score, reputation, and higher salary. The GMs will be given expectations from their owner and should strive to meet that expectation, as they could be fired if they fail to meet it. Fired GMs can be rehired by different teams.
SIMMING
Using Franchise Hockey Manager 2, I will sim one day at a time and post the box scores. I will try to sim multiple times a day.
ROSTERS
You can ask for your roster and reserve list, and make moves based on it. If you want to send a player down, they will have to go through waivers. The lowest ranked team to claim will get the player. You can also set your lineups, but if an injury occurs and you fail to fix it, it could be automatically done.
